What Does My Story Says About Me?
I developed the capacity of seeing people through; I feel the emotions that are hiding under the ways in which one expresses themselves. I pay attention to the body language, the tone of voice, the choice and the pace of words, the eye movements, the hand gestures, the feet stance, the hip position, the back posture, the pressure the lips are under, and so on... that's a peak into someone's inner world (as within so without). I perceive the vulnerability behind the armor one had to build in order to protect themselves from the tyranny of the world, the judgments and expectations that can harm a pure soul. The gift of connection has been given to me and I have been protecting it ever since; it can only be used with those who are ready to see themselves. That's how caring for children became so fulfilling to me, because kids need someone who truly sees them as they have nothing to hide---and that means I finally get to use my superpowers in real life.
True care lives within my heart. To be in the presence of another human being, look into their eyes, and feel confident in my capacity of providing a safe environment where they can be themselves, has been a transformative experience in my life's journey. Courage, kindness, and curiosity have always played a huge part in my story, they brought me here---and this is only the beginning!
Leaving, the second time
Two years ago I left my country for the second time. The difference is that this time I did it alone, with the strength of my own will (no travel agency nor external help involved), and going against everybody's concerns and fears. I arrived in California on July 12th 2024---I had no job, no place of my own to live, I knew only two people, and had just 5k in my bank account that I had saved from my au pair experience in CO the year before. When looking back then in my current state of mind, I'd fear for my life; but the funny thing is that I wasn't scared, not even a little bit. I got scared afterwards, after I understood why everybody was so concerned when I left. The truth is that I was 21 years old and there was a lot about life that I didn't comprehend. I'm still learning about what it truly means to be independent and the responsibilities attached to it, and back then I was simply unaware of what I'm now learning. Life never fails to humble me when needed, and although some lessons are harder to comprehend than others, I've been doing a pretty good job at recognizing the parts of me that need care and attention to develop in the right direction. Not only have I learned how to pay my bills, make money, and spend accordingly, I've learned the importance of having a healthy relationship with it (and I'd dare to say that's the most important part). When teaching myself about all the societal schemes I need to know in order to survive modern society, I approached these premises from the fundamental question of "what does it really mean?" ---to a body, to a human being--- to have and to understand money. This questioning taught me a lot about the ethical and spiritual way of building my life around society's structure.

Age at arrival
Stated as 21
Divergent in the source
My Story says "I was 21 years old" on 12 Jul 2024. The birth date published on the legacy Contact Info page is inconsistent with that. Reproduced as written in My Story; the divergence is unresolved. The birth date itself is not republished here — it is personal data the source exposed, and it is recorded in the Knowledge Base under kb/pages/ for whoever resolves this with Aurora.
Au pair
Colorado — year not stated
Not stated
My Story writes only "my au pair experience in CO the year before"; "CO" is never expanded on that page. The Childcare page names Colorado and says she lived there for a year caring for 4 kids.

The opening sentence is dated relative to when it was written and ages on its own. It needs an absolute date.
The year that followed
I've been through a roller coaster ever since my arrival. Just about every time I believed I had found structure, my ground would shook and make me fall over and over again. There was fear, and there was hope, there was tears, and there was faith. And---after untying the bonds with the friends that brought me here, feeling tremendously alone, losing my job, losing my house, and breaking up with my ex-boyfriend, altogether--- I found my way through! I found a good-enough job, and a good-enough place to sleep, I befriended a woman who's worth 10 interpersonal relationships together. Step after step, I built the ladder that took me out of the bottom of the hole; it was just when I thought things couldn't get worst, that they got really good! I was unemployed again, and a better job found me. I was about to be homeless once more, and the perfect home found me, bringing people that are like family to me into my life! My first car broke down three months after I bought it, and a brand new car found its way into my life. Things can get complicated, but I taught myself to be patient until they get better. All these hardships have served as precious lessons for my character development. They made me stronger where I need to be strong, and softener where I need to be soft. They taught me what needs to be taken seriously and what doesn't. These moments taught me to trust myself, and above all trust the process; a blind faith in something I couldn't see nor touch, but now it became something I can grasp onto as it unfolds before me.
Belief, and what came after it
Continue reading — the longest part of the story, on belief
I grew up Catholic, I've been baptized, studied in a Catholic school in Caxias do Sul---the City I was born and raised in---had my confirmation at 12, after four years of Bible studies; only to stop believing in the Christian God a year after that. When I was 13 years old I concluded---after a long period of pondering---If we are all brothers and sisters, why is god above us instead of next to us? It simply didn't make sense to me. Hell didn't make sense, heaven neither, so I became an atheist who didn't believe in life after death. My mom was mad, she said I was too young to have such opinions of my own, but there was nothing she could do to convince me otherwise. For a while I tried finding other religious practices that would align with my values in life, but in my understanding, all of them had a fixed truth and worshiped a higher entity out of fear for the consequences of not worshiping this higher entity; so I stopped looking. After I turned 20, spirituality found me and showed me it has always been with me. It was a feeling, a full acceptance of my being and the world that shaped me. No fear was big enough for the love I discovered I carry within. I wasn't scared of my anger anymore, so that could no longer be used to move me in the name of fear. I wasn't scared of my sorrow either, as it taught me how to embrace my sadness with compassion. All the emotions that on earth people judge as good or bad, I simply understood were part of who I was. Then the challenge of choosing to believe in my truth in a world that insists in dividing what is worth of love and what is worth of hate---where does this division comes from if not from fear? I've been moved by this fear one-too-many-times before, doubted myself, brought myself back to me, doubted again, and brought myself back again, and again, and again, and again... Each time reaching a deeper level of understanding for both---new reasons to doubt and new reasons to believe. I evolved a lot, expanded my mind and my …
